On Tuesday, 25 March 2025, we had an amazing time hosting the Microsoft 365 Copilot Prompt-a-thon event in Sydney. It was a fantastic gathering with participants from all sorts of backgrounds, like HR, IT, finance, sales, and more, all coming together to explore how Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot agents can change the game for business processes and productivity.
The day kicked off with a masterclass on “The Art of Prompting” and an introduction to Copilot agents. These sessions provided participants with valuable insights into how to effectively use prompts to leverage the full potential of Microsoft 365 Copilot.
Here’s a quick look at what we did:

- Group activities: Teams worked together to create use cases.
- Team presentations and demos: Showcasing their innovative solutions.
- Awards and networking: Wrapping up with awards for the best ideas.
Teams came up with over 30 high-value use cases in just two hours! It was impressive to see such creativity and innovation. Some teams even managed to demo proof-of-concept agents and sophisticated prompts they’d whipped up during the event. The use cases included managing policies (e.g. helping end users summarise complex policies and legislation), through to a ServiceNow plug-in for internal support, customer sentiment analysis, and financial reporting.
Throughout the event, participants had the opportunity to learn new things, discover scenarios, hack business challenges with prompts and agents, network with colleagues, and get inspired to transform their organisations.
The biggest takeaway from the event was that there’s plenty of value businesses can start experiencing today simply by educating their employees on AI prompt engineering and Copilot agents. The variety of participants and the sheer number of use cases showed just how versatile and impactful Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot agents can be across different industries and roles.
