For Day 10 of our 12 Days of Agents, we are introducing the Recruitment agent. This one is a reminder that the best agents don’t need a flashy use case, instead, they just need to solve a real, everyday problem. This agent tackles the recruitment questions that come up on repeat, making it easier for candidates to get the right answer the first time.
For our client, recruitment teams were juggling region-specific FAQs, trying to surface live job listings, and guiding candidates through a consistent application process. Without a single front door for candidates, it was harder to keep information current and capture talent pool leads along the way.
Recruitment teams were managing a steady stream of candidate questions, but the answers weren’t always consistent because they varied by region. FAQs lived in different places, updates were hard to keep on top of, and candidates often landed on pages that didn’t match their location or the latest process.
At the same time, job listings were changing frequently. Candidates wanted to know what roles were live right now, what applied to them, and what to do next. Without an easy way to surface current listings and guide people through the same application steps every time, recruiters were pulled into repeat admin and the organisation missed chances to capture “not right now, but interested” talent pool leads.
The Recruitment Agent is built in Microsoft Copilot Studio, integrated with Dayforce, and published directly on the organisation’s careers website. It gives candidates one clear place to start, whether they’re looking for a role, checking requirements, or working out how to apply.
Behind the scenes, it uses intent-based conversation flows to handle the common paths like job search, region-specific FAQs, and application guidance. It dynamically retrieves live job listings from Dayforce, and when a search doesn’t return results it offers sensible next steps, such as alternate searches or capturing details for the talent pool. Content is aligned to approved branding and governance standards so responses stay consistent across regions and over time.
The agent is public-facing on our client’s website, with responsible AI guardrails are built in. The agent is clearly labelled as automated, sticks to approved sources (curated FAQs and Dayforce listings), and focuses on guidance rather than any form of candidate assessment or screening. It also only captures details when it needs to, with clear prompts, and it provides straightforward pathways to escalate to a recruiter for anything sensitive or nuanced.
At Engage Squared, we understand that the best solutions are the ones that make life easier. If you’re interested in how Copilot agents can transform your teams workflows, book a call with one of our AI experts today.
