It’s Day 11 of our 12 Days of Agents, and today we’re unwrapping one for sales teams who are swimming in data and insights, but still need a clear idea of what to say in the next customer conversation.

What the agent actually is

Think of this agent as a 24/7 Analyst sitting inside Microsoft Teams.

Instead of making you navigate complex SAP reports or Power BI tabs, this agent connects directly to your reporting data. It interprets the raw numbers using your company’s specific business logic and summarizes them into plain English. You ask a question like you would to a colleague, and it returns a briefing note ready for your next call.

Challenge

Our client faced a common problem: they had incredible data in SAP and Power BI, but their reps didn’t always have time to use it.

Sales reps were spending 4–8 hours a week reviewing Power BI dashboards built on SAP/CRM data just to work out what to cover with customers. With around 40 accounts to prep each week, reps were manually pulling sales history, trends, and customer profile insights. It took deep knowledge of the data to interpret correctly, creating a steep ramp-up for new reps and inconsistent interpretation across the team.

How a sales support agent solves these problems

To solve these challenges, we built a Copilot Studio agent that doesn’t just “read” data, it contextualises it.

It takes the reporting they already have and turns it into something a rep can use straight away. It pulls in CRM-backed insights, checks them against the client’s own reference material (sales playbooks, KPI definitions, and what “good” looks like), then translates it into a short account summary.

When a rep asks for it, the agent returns the key changes, what’s worth paying attention to, and a few sensible talking points. The agent enables sales reps to walk into the call clear on what’s happening and what to say next.

Expected outcomes

Weekly prep used to mean hours in dashboards, trying to work out what matters for each customer and how to turn it into a useful conversation. With this agent, that work shrinks to a quick weekly check-in.

Prep time can drop from 4–8 hours down to around 15–20 minutes a week (up to a 90% reduction). Reps can cover more of their account book consistently, instead of focusing only on the customers they had time to dig into. New sales reps can also get up to speed faster because the agent explains what the numbers mean in plain language, without needing someone to translate dashboards for them.

Future enhancments to the agent include automated weekly briefing packs for each rep, generated ahead of customer calls and ready to use.
