Our client is a leading provider of hybrid colocation and mega-scale data centre solutions, known for delivering secure, reliable infrastructure to enterprise clients. As a business built on trust and uptime, their digital presence plays a critical role in communicating its value and credibility to customers. However, their corporate website had fallen behind, running on an outdated, unsupported version of Sitecore CMS.
Recognising the urgency and risk of their situation, they engaged Engage Squared to deliver a rapid, end-to-end modernisation of their Sitecore platform, upgrading to a secure, supported environment and establishing a future-ready foundation for their digital experience.
Operating on an end-of-life CMS presented both operational and reputational risks. Without vendor support, our client faced mounting security vulnerabilities, no access to patches, and increasing exposure to potential breaches – a serious issue for a company promising enterprise-grade security to clients.
Beyond the security concerns, the legacy platform had become difficult to maintain and evolve. Marketing teams struggled with slow, manual workflows, while the hosting environment was costly and unreliable. The combination of technical debt, outdated infrastructure, and limited agility meant they needed more than an upgrade, they needed a full-scale modernisation delivered with speed, precision, and zero downtime.
Engage Squared was engaged on this project to deliver an accelerated, end-to-end migration and modernisation program. The goal was to rebuild their digital platform on a secure, scalable foundation using modern Sitecore, Azure, and DevOps best practices.
Our approach included three key workstreams:
To handle the large volume of content and complex layouts, the team leveraged RAZL, a specialised Sitecore migration tool. This allowed for accurate, large-scale content and layout synchronisation while maintaining metadata and referential integrity. The migration was tested extensively through multiple staging environments to ensure a seamless transition with no business disruption.
Security was a key focus throughout the engagement. The new Sitecore and Azure environments were hardened to meet their stringent requirements, incorporating secure configurations, SSL, access controls, and continuous monitoring.
The project delivered a secure, sustainable digital platform that restored confidence across the business:
For a company built on trust and technical excellence, this transformation was about more than just technology; it reaffirmed our client’s credibility as a secure, forward-thinking infrastructure provider.
