Engage Squared 2020 highlights
We don’t want to dwell on the ‘unprecedented’ events of 2020. Instead, we want to focus on the silver linings, the highlights, the things that inspired us and kept us anchored in the midst of it all. Personally, 2020 was a big year for us! Here are some of the best highlights from an unforgettable year.

Our Project highlights
Government agencies are expected to respond to emerging issues rapidly, through several channels. To support contemporary and faster decision making, we worked with DJCS to develop and deliver an end-to-end, integrated digital briefing and correspondence system. The shift from a manual process to one that fosters innovation, efficiency, and mobility. The fully digitalised solution has had an immensely positive impact on both its users and the environment, nearly eliminating all reliance on paper and supporting new working from home processes.
Transforming the Department to better serve its citizens
In Western Australia, the first responders in a medical emergency are from St John Ambulance. In March last year, St John needed a way to get out information rapidly, especially to first responders around the evolving Covid-19 situation. We worked with St John WA to roll our Yammer in just 7 days. In the first few weeks, users on the new Yammer network grew from a handful on the project team to over 2000. They made it into Swoops benchmarking top 10% report 2020

The project kick-off coincided almost exactly with the first lockdown. The original approach was replaced with a fully virtual, change strategy. The migration to M365 was staggered in weekly tranches meaning that staff were in different phases of their M365 journey. With this in mind, we split people into three groups, allowing us to allocate a dedicated Change & Adoption Consultant to plan and deliver all activities to their assigned ‘group’. We identified 25 key business scenarios and trained 1700 users virtually. This resulted in a 1400% increase in Teams usage since January 2020 with over 76.4% active usage overall across Bupa.

In June, with the easing of COVID-19 restrictions across NSW, a University turned its attention to reactivating the campus for their spring session. We worked with the university to design and deploy the first version of a COVID Tracing App within only a matter of days, with the final version having aesthetic tweaks being rolled out within a few weeks. The brief was to create something that can be deployed, rolled out and adopted swiftly, leveraging their existing Microsoft platforms to fast track the design and deployment of a solution that would be simple to use for students and faculty.

The ATO recognised an enterprise portal and collaboration platform, would unite the organisation across their geographical and departmental borders and allow them to move their data into the Office 365 cloud. We worked with The ATO to deliver a solution that increased productivity and started a new era of employee engagement and satisfaction. Within 3 months a fully responsive, custom Office 365 SharePoint Online Intranet was deployed. The development of a mobile, cloud-based intranet enabled ATO employees to access information from anywhere, on any device, providing their workforce with a new level of flexibility and efficiency.
